Using This Site 101

Welcome to TheCommunityPage.com We've provided this page to help you get the most from our service. Here's some great news... we're not going to bore you with all kinds of information about how great we are! So here's what you really need to know:

On TheCommunityPage.com, you can find information about businesses - sort of like the Yellow Pages but MUCH better. You can find out what's going on. You can sell or auction things. We even have a local dating service. Plus local professionals offer tips and advice for a variety of subjects. You can even view restaurant menus, check movie times, find volunteer opportunities and check the weather! Here's how to do it:

Find Businesses

There are two ways to find businesses.

Method 1. Search by clicking the search link in the left column. Enter a business name or search for a "type" of business by entering terms in the search box. Once you see the list of businesses, click their name for more information or click DIECTIONS for maps and directions. Many restaurants also have a MENU link. Click MENU to view their current... you guessed it... MENU!
Method 2. Browse for a business or type of business by choosing a category in the middle of the Main Page. On the main page there are two sections: a. CITIES and b. CATEGORIES FOR ALL CITIES.

• A. If you want to browse the entire Fox Valley, simply choose a category in the CATEGORIES FOR ALL CITIES section. You will see a list of ALL businesses within the Fox Cities which belong in that category. Key point - You will see the entire Fox Valley using this link, not any one specific city or town. Once you see the list of businesses, click their name for more information or click DIECTIONS for maps and directions. Many restaurants also have a MENU link. Click MENU to view their current menu.
• B. If you want to browse within a specific city or town such as APPLETON, simply click the name of the city such as APPLETON in the CITIES section. The CITIES section will then disappear and all categories will reflect businesses in the city or town you chose. The CATEGORIES FOR ALL CITIES section will also change to reflect the name of the city you chose and will be relabeled to reflect your choice. For example, AUTOMOTIVE - ALL FOX VALLEY CITIES will change to AUTOMOTIVE - APPLETON ONLY. Now when you browse you'll only get businesses in that city which in our example is APPLETON. To change the city or browse the entire Fox Valley, simply click the MAIN PAGE link in the left column and choose a different location. Easy! Once you see the list of businesses, click their name for more information or click DIECTIONS for maps and directions. Many restaurants also have a MENU link. Click MENU to view their current... MENU!

Find Things to Do
TheCommunityPage.com has several areas of interest to people looking for things to do. For starters, check out the CALENDAR link. You can see local events which have been added by local businesses. You can even add your own event as long as it is relevant to the purpose of the site. Click the CALENDAR link and you will see a list of events for the current week. Use the left and right arrows at the top of the calendar to move to a different week. You can find out more about each entry by hovering over the event or clicking on it. To add an event, click ADD NEW ENTRY at the bottom.  Check the date if you use the link from this page.

Go out to eat! Not sure where to go? Check out local menus at "Food on the Move", our menu page. Just click RESTAURANT MENUS from the left column to see a list of online menus. See who delivers, who offers take out and where you can dine in. Good stuff!

If you're looking for a way to help others in this great community, click the VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES link. You'll see a list of local businesses and charities which are in need of local volunteers. Contact information is provided in the right column.

Why not go to a movie? C' mon, you deserve it! Did you notice that big orange and red box that says "Find Show Times and Buy Tickets"? Just click on the word FIND at the bottom of that box and you'll see a list of cinemas and drive-ins throughout the Fox Valley. No need to change the city or zip code - you'll see them all. Tip: If you leave town, change the city or zip code. It works everywhere!

Start Dating... maybe even get married!  Looking for that special someone? Click the LOCAL DATES link. The LOCAL DATES page was specifically designed to help local singles in the Fox Valley meet! Click REGISTER NOW on the Local Dates page to get started.

Sell Something
Time to get rid of that circa 1962 orange vinyl couch? Don't want to ship it across the country? Sell it LOCALLY on TheCommunityPage.com Classifieds or Auctions.  You'll need to register, but everything is local, so you don't have to figure out shipping, packaging or even bring it to the Post Office. Sell it and the buyer can come pick it up. How great is that! Click CLASSIFIEDS or AUCTIONS from the left column.

Check the weather
Sure , you see the temperature. But CLICK it! You'll get the forecast. Click HOUR BY HOUR or TEN DAY for a detailed weather report. Change the zip code if you're traveling to see what it's like where ever you're headed.

Wondering if you'll like a show or event? Thinking the show might be a "girl thing" or "for the guys"? No Problem! Our REVIEWS page give an honest look at area attractions from BOTH points of view.
